How do I choose which Bike is right for me?

There are many things to take into consideration when purchasing a new Bike, such as where you will be riding, your level of expertise and which is the correct sized bike for you. We have complied an easy Bike Buyers Guide which details the best features of each type. We also have a Size Guide available for reference online. When it comes to choosing the very best bike for you, we highly recommend dropping in to your local Bike Barn store and talking with one of our expert Sales Team who have a wealth of knowledge to help you find the perfect fit. No stores in your area? No problem, send our friendly Web Team a Message and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

 

Will my Bike need to be assembled on delivery?

Any Bikes delivered to your private address will come boxed and need to be assembled. You are welcome to choose to have the Bike sent directly to your local Bike Barn store or follow our online Bike assembly guide. Disclaimer; while the small kids bikes can be straightforward and easy to assemble for teenage and adult sized bikes we highly recommend you have a qualified Bike Mechanic assemble them, if you damage the Bike during assembly you may find the warranty is void.

 

Can I arrange for my Bike to be collected in store?

Want to save the hassle and risk of assembling the Bike yourself? No problem, simply choose the pick-up in store option while ordering the item and choose the store nearest to you. Once the Bike arrives in store it will be assembled by our experienced Workshop Team and you will be notified once it is ready for pick-up.

 

The Bike or the Size I want is not available online, could it be available elsewhere?

While we try to have the full range of options available online as in store often it means that this size is very low in stock We are occasionally able to locate items or sizes not listed on the website, feel free to Email our friendly web team who will try their best to find it for you.

 

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept a full range of payment options including but not exclusive to; Visa, Master Card, AMEX, Q Card and Account2Account which allows you to make a direct bank payment.

 

What Lay-by or Finance options do you have available?

How much will I be charged for shipping?

Here at Bike Barn we are happy to provide FREE shipping on ALL orders over $75 if your order total is below $75 we do charge a flat rate of $5. For full shipping details please click here.

 

How long will my order take to arrive? And will I have to be there to sign for it?

Please follow the link for full details on all Shipping and Delivery times. All packages being sent will need to be signed for on delivery, if you wish the courier to leave the package at your residence without a signature you will have the option during checkout of requesting delivery instructions. Please note that if you request the courier to leave the package at your front door they will not be held liable for theft.

 

How can I track my order?

Please send us an email at info@bikebarn.co.nz with your order confirmation number and we will respond as soon as we can with a track and trace link.

 

My item has arrived damaged, what do I do?

If you purchased your item in store and had it sent to your address you will have to first contact the exact store from which you purchased the Item. If your item was purchased through the Website you will need to contact our friendly Web Team via Email. They will likely request photos of the damage to help determine whether the item should be repaired or replaced or if you will need to be refunded. Please keep all packaging with which the item was received so that it can easily be sent back for replacement.

 

What are your policies for returns and Warranties?

Any items you are wishing to return or exchange whether it is for a change of mind, incorrect item choice or faulty item supplied you will need to contact or visit the original store from which the item was purchased. If your item was purchased from our website then you will need to contact our online team via Email, Please see our full Returns and Warranty Policies first.

 

How long will a refund take to process?

Refunds are either processed via bank transfer or balance is placed onto a Gift card. You will be notified via email the day your refund is issued and payment may take up to 10 working days to appear in your account. In the event that you are returning an item due to change of mind or incorrect item purchased you will be issued a Gift Voucher and not be refunded. For our full refund policies see here.

Bike Barn is a New Zealand owned and operated company and we take great pride in supporting our local communities. We receive hundreds of applications every year from Riders, Teams, Events and Charities.
