1986 - Thanks to our twenty-year know-how in EPS shell moulding for helmets and to the great influence of the American MTB market, the Limar brand is born.

1988 - After an intensive research and development period, Limar starts the realization of specially designed bike helmets.

1994 - Model F104, the world’s lightest bike helmet, is launched. Its destiny to revolutionize all traditional standards.

 
2000 - Limar creates the first In-Mould helmet. This new production process allows a great reduction in weight yet ensures a great impact resistance to the helmet.

2002 - Limar introduces the first wheel sizing system, light and easy to adjust, for perfect comfort and fit.

 
2007 - PRO 104, the world’s lightest helmet – 180 grams only – is born. This new goal is achieved thanks to our exclusive monocoque in-mould technology.
